CONNECT CAREER TO CAMPUS 2023-2024

ORIENTATION PROGRAMME

In collaboration with kerala knowledge economy mission. IQAC of Mother Teresa College of Teacher Education Perambra, conducted an orientation programme. This programme is intended to give placement assistance to students.The Kerala Knowledge Economy Mission (K-KEM) is an initiative aimed at fostering the growth of Kerala's knowledge-based economy. One of its programs, "Connect Career to Campus," seems to focus on bridging the gap between academia and industry by facilitating career opportunities for students directly from campuses. The talent curation executive, Ms. Aparna Mam, given a brief introduction and motive about the programme. The registartion in DWMS app was also completed during the class. It was such an enlightening and informative session.

TEACHING MODELS

 A teaching model refers to a systematic and structured framework or approach used by educators to facilitate learning and instruction in the classroom or other educational settings. These teaching models helped as a guide for me to organize and deliver content effectively, engage students in learning activities. These models are based on chapters of class 6,7,8 and 9.

Teaching practice plays a crucial role in preparing prospective teachers for the challenges and rewards of a career in education. It bridges the gap between theory and practice, equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to effectively lead classrooms and positively impact students' lives. For the completion of 80 days teaching practice i have chosen GHSS Naduvannur. It's a goernment higher secondary school which has around 4000 students.

STUDENT ARTIFACTS

  Students create bunch of array of exquisite creations inside classroom and outside classroom. They often try to exhibit their talents without any inhibiton. I was extremely astonished by their works. Even it is a word web they often try to beautify it with the feathers of love and care. When it comes to team work, they compete healthly with the aim to win.Teacher's should ensure all students participation. As a teacher, we can help them to findout their true potential. Here it is some of my student's works.

As a part of our B.ED curriculum, we have 80 days of internship ina school. for that i have chosen GHSS Naduvannur which is located at the heart of Naduvannur town.These 80 days of internship taught me many things. I have met and interacted with different kinds of students, different kinds of teachers also. The school is well-maintained and has a good infrastructure. I was assigned to teach at 8,9 class during first phase internship and 6 and 7 in second phase internship. I was able to communicate with students , understood them and changed classess according to their needs. Apart from classroom teaching, i was also able to take part in other activities in school. I have managed English club activities. I also got the opportunity to take classes for students of Sredha and Udhayam. These programmes were designed to facilitate students who need special care in academic knowledge. I understood how important is to give attention for those students. They have an urge to study, but due to several reasons they were distracted. I have realised how arts fest, sports, etc have been conducting. I got the opportunity to be a part of it. Every tasks were opportunities, to realise, understand something. I am sure that these days helped me to develop my knowledge and skills. My students ,they have made me realise the importance of considering, giving attention and how i can inspire them. I am sure that the stories the told them about success and perseverance created some fire in them. Last day in school evoke such profound emotions that tears well up whenever I write about it. Students of class 6 came to me and hugged me. I was astonished that everyone in the class came to bid farewell to me. That was a Moment. I like to think it as a Token of gratitude from them for being with them, for being a friend, for being a teacher who understand them. That was the moment, i realised i have chosen the right path. Apath where i can breathe, grow and live.

Sreejith sir and Pankajakshi teacher guided us during second phase internship. Their years of experience and interaction with students showed path full of light to us. They helped us to interact, engage with students and school. Thanks a million dear teachers.
